Job description

The preschool teacher is responsible for caring for, playing with and educating children between the ages of 3 and 5. The preschool teacher will organize activities for students in the classroom and will also be involved in planning individualized lesson plans. In addition to classroom duties, the preschool teacher also helps to fulfill administrative tasks within the school during the day.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, record, and report on children's progress.
• Ensure that the classroom is a safe and secure learning environment.
• Relay information to parents.
• Direct children's learning through the use of activities and games.
• Maintain a classroom.
• Work with young children.
• Communicate with other teachers.
• Plan lessons and activities.
• Teach preschoolers.
• Maintain relationships with students' parents.
• 90 Clock Hours of approved Early Childhood Coursework
• 45 Preschool Clock Hours,45 Growth and Development
• 9 Hour Communications
• ADA Certificate
• First Aid/ CPR
• Medication Administration * Preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• 90 Clock Hour Certification (Required)
