Production/Quality Assurance Manager Job Duties

• Work with the Production Controller or assigned employee on reviewing current processes and working on creating new processes to effectively and accurately report and track finished goods in the Accounting System.
• Performing daily, weekly,and monthly Inventory Counts as required for raw materials and finished goods.
• Responsible for daily, weekly and monthly scheduling of both production and packing of ice cream.
• Forecasting and ordering of raw materials, ingredients, packaging supplies, etc., for production and packing of ice cream.
• Actively supervising both the production and packaging employees to ensure proper procedures are being followed, and work is getting completed in a timely fashion, adhering to the Food Safety Guidelines, and other followed certifications guidelines.
• Work with the maintenance department to ensure all equipment has scheduled preventative maintenance, as well as any interim maintenance, to limit downtime to a minimum.
• Create employee schedules to ensure maximum output is obtained, and costs are kept at desired amount.
• Will need to become HACCP certified within the first 90 days of employment.
• Will need to become Food Defense Coordinator certified within the first 180 days of employment
• Will need to become PCQI certified within the first 180 days of employment.
• Working with QC Administrator to ensure all proper policies and procedures are being followed, and correctly recorded as necessary.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Coordinating with the General Manager and the Warehouse Manager with the day’s needs for totes, reefers, ingredients, etc.
• Monitoring of products being packaged to ensure proper quality, and weights.
• Experience in manufacturing is a must, preferably frozen dessert/Ice Cream. 4+ years of experience
• Compensation is commensurate with experience; the range should be $60k to $80k+ bonus potential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
