Position Overview:
The Reporting Analyst is responsible for providing support to the Reporting & Analytics Team’s mission of empowering the organization to make data driven decisions. This individual is expected to have excellent communication skills and an intermediate understanding of reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Excel. The Reporting Analyst will apply his/her knowledge to support business units by developing and implementing reporting that aligns with business needs and system functionality.
Job Responsibilities:
User Maintenance & Security
- Assist with monitoring and regulating user licenses in accordance with the current licensing strategy
- Understand and assist in maintaining security at both the server and data level
Reporting Adoption
- Understand CCM’s business workflow(s) and the solutions that are in place to assist the end user with monitoring their work queue, identifying action items, and providing insight into how their processes are functioning
- Assist in training material creation and provide technical support during webinars presented by the Training Department
- Act as a point of contact for all end users, providing information on the available reporting tools, training sessions, and conducting 1:1’s as needed
- Monitor usage of deployed solutions and make recommendations/advise audience as needed
Support Queue
- Assist with support cases assigned to or escalated to the Reporting & Analytics Team within CCM’s Support Portal as needed
- Ensure timely resolution of ticket requests
Report Development & Maintenance
- Develop and maintain reports based on business requirements, ranging from work queue reporting up to executive dashboards
- Work with business units to identify and evaluate business requirements, as well as determine the appropriate reporting software to utilize
- Conduct research on business areas and processes to understand reporting opportunities and make recommendations
- Act as a liaison between business units to gather and communicate essential information for improvement efforts
- Remain up to date on Tableau functionality and understand methods for application within the environment
- Conduct routine maintenance to existing reporting solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to reporting
- Respond to ad hoc reporting requests as needed
Data Source Development & Maintenance
- Understand the intended application for the most highly utilized data sets
- Understand how to edit and create simple data sets upon supervisor’s request with limited guidance
- Understand existing data source calculations and how to edit them upon supervisor’s request with limited guidance
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills, including maintaining positive relationships with business units and end users
- Excellent and professional communication skills, verbal and written
- High aptitude for problem solving and critical thinking, with a strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Strong work ethic and time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines, work multiple projects at one time, and work overtime as needed
- Ability to analyze problems and respond quickly in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in business, finance, mathematics, or technical field preferred
- Experience in data analysis and data mining (1-3 years)
- Experience working in business intelligence tools and other reporting applications, such as Tableau, Excel, SSRS (1-3 years)
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server with a basic understanding of how to write queries
Pay Range:
$65,000 - $75,000 (bonus eligible)
The posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
