DESCRIPTION:

• Client Offer // 36 or 48hrs accepted for position

Minimum 1.5 years of recent Med Surg experience required, preferred 2 years
First time travelers accepted
Need Compact or AL license in hand when applying
Required skills- Cardiac Monitoring, gastrointestinal experience, renal failure, IV, heparin/insulin/PCA, ortho experience, CVA, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury experience required, respiratory experience required
BCLS required, chemotherapy administration certification preferred
Meditech expanse experience preferred
No locals – must be greater than 60 miles from facility. (use tax address to see how far from facility they are) Facility address: 809 University Blvd E, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401
Perm staff must wait 12 months and meet 85 mile rule
Nursys- No hits are allowed, if there is a hit of ANY kind it is an automatic redirect

Unit Info
Unit is primarily Ortho/post-surgical and trauma; a select part of the unit is dedicated to oncology patients. Chemotherapy is sometimes administered by trained nurses who are certified
Float to other other acute care units required

Ratios 1:5-7
