Reporting to the Senior Director of Sales, this teammate will lead the planning, development, execution, and ongoing optimization of focused programs designed to help achieve revenue targets for national, regional, and close-out channel retail accounts. This leader will oversee and manage approximately 25-30 national accounts including Home Depot, Claire’s, Barnes & Noble, Hobby Lobby, and close-out channel retailers: TJ Maxx, Burlington Stores, 5 Below. This leader will be a critical part of driving revenue, engaging with retailers, and ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain. This role partners closely with members of the commercial team, inventory planning team, and will have additional cross-functional touch points in many parts of the business. Success will be based on your ability to understand the critical customer needs, develop and deploy creative selling solutions to drive volume and profitability, and analyze consumer trends. This role requires a strong influencer who communicates clearly and effectively. Must possess a customer-first mindset and a drive to win and a sense of urgency to compete in the fast-moving Consumer Electronics category.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee national and regional accounts for a portfolio of existing customers (brick-and-mortar)
- Generate new areas of opportunity to grow revenue and expand product and channel outreach within the US retail market
- Forecasting and planning from assortment recommendation to sell through
- Coordinate with retailers to develop and maintain an accurate demand planning forecast to ensure timely and precise product availability and delivery
- Monitor and analyze customer’s product consumption and trade spend effectiveness, including proactive inventory management, promotion, ROI, and other vendor investment initiatives
- Conduct quarterly business review (QSBs) with customer to collaboration future growth opportunities
- Must be highly self-motivated, keep a consistent positive attitude and strive to beat metrics
- Work closely with the Sr Director of Sales and Sales Leadership to support all sales initiatives related to revenue generation, customer service, inventory management and channel expansion
- Will oversee and lead one teammate (Sales Account Manager)
- Proactive communication with outside partners to ensure all details are aligned
- Continually generate new appears of opportunity to grow revenue and expand product reach
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years national/regional account sales experience required
- Familiar with the close-out channel strongly preferred
- Familiarity with order maintenance (ERP, CRM, etc)
- Possess problem solving, attention to detail, and analytical skills
- Must be a self-starter that shows ownership and commitment to the job
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of information, exercise good judgment and discretion in handling and disseminating information
- Action-oriented mindset to have an impact in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing growth environment
- Sense of humor, personal integrity, and appreciation for the power of teamwork
- Ability to travel domestically 20-25% of the time
Compensation: $95,000-$105,000
