Scientist II – I&R
Ridgefield, CT
12 month W2 contract (with potential to extend or transition to perm)
Pay rate: $30-42/hour

Summary:
Responsible for culture, maintenance and storage of mammalian cells and developing in vitro models for inflammatory diseases. Experience with induced pluripotent stem cells and adult stem cells is a plus but not required. In addition to cell culture, the candidate will be responsible for performing standard cell and molecular biology techniques. These include experiments such as cell viability, RNA extraction, qPCR, immunoblotting, immunostaining, ELISA and microscopy.

Skills or Requirements:
Familiar with a variety of cell and molecular biology techniques. Minimum 1 year industry or academic work experience is required. Prior work experience with Boeringher Ingelheim, Ridgefield is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills, data analysis/interpretation and a keen sense of sterile technique in the laboratory are required.
