We need two mid-level (5+ YEARS) Scrum masters with Banking experience (2+ YEARS) for a Hybrid position in Menlo Park, CA. Candidates must be onsite day one and be in the office 2-3 times a week. There is no relocation accepted for this position. Candidates must be local to Menlo Park and able to commute. This project is with the Banks Digital group, so any Digital experience is a big plus but not required. ***CANDIDATES MUST HAVE BANKING OR FINANCIAL RECENT EXPERIENCE.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Guides the Scrum Team's focus on creating high-value Increments that meet the Definition of Done.
  • Removes impediments to the Scrum Team's progress.
  • Ensures that all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive, and kept within the timebox.
  • Shields the team from external influences.
  • Guides the team on how to use agile values, agile principles, and agile framework practices to delight customers and contribute towards building a culture of trust, respect, simplicity, courage, transparency, and agility.
  • Helps find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management.
  • Helps the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
  • Helps establish empirical product planning for a complex environment.
  • Assesses the agile health of the team and coach them to higher levels of fluency at a sustainable pace for the team and department.
  • Embodies agile behaviors and practices while exhibiting an innovative attitude and an aptitude to embrace change and improve the practices and processes of the team daily.
  • Oversees the scrum process, coaches the team; facilitates transparent and adaptive culture.

Communication/Collaboration

  • Facilitates discussion, decision making, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.
  • Builds a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of punishment.
  • Build effective partnership with the Product Owner and provide mentoring and support especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog and release planning, aligning delivery expectations with all stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with Project Management.
  • Participate in the Scrum of Scrums.

Position Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of progressive relevant experience
  • 6 years of Project Management or Scrum Master experience including managing projects with cross functional teams
  • 6 years of Technology experience
  • 2 Years Financial experience
  • 3 years of experience in delivering products or projects in a leadership or project team role
  • 2 years of experience with Agile tools
  • 2 years vendor management and financial management experience
