We are looking for a talented content specialist to help grow our customer base. You’ll create written content that brings new users to the site, compels them to engage with our products, and ultimately converts them to a paying customer.
You must include a portfolio link or attach (3) long-form writing samples to your application to be considered.
Currently, PDQ team members who are candidates for fully remote positions can live in any of the following US states: AR, AZ, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, OK, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI.
Who you are:
- You’re passionate about helping your readers: You enjoy learning all about your readers’ challenges, day-to-day life, and desires — then translating that knowledge into helpful, engaging content.
- You’re curious: You constantly seek new information that helps you understand the market, customers, and products more completely.
- You can synthesize data: You know how to dive into a research rabbit hole and come back out with concise, actionable takeaways for your readers.
- You like to solve problems: You revel in taking on new challenges and coming to scalable, impactful solutions.
- You’re data savvy: You enjoy digesting data points — including SEO metrics and experiment results — to inform better content creation.
- You love tech: You may not have worked in IT, but you still geek out on computers, software, and learning how things work.
- You work well with others: You understand the priorities of developers, marketers, and content creators and thrive on crafting solutions that work for everyone.
- You operate with a sense of urgency: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a bias towards action.
What your day to day might look like:
- Write long-form, top-of-funnel blog content that drives prospective customers down the marketing funnel
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of PDQ’s suite of products and their target audiences to aid content creation
- Show your readers how PDQ products can make everyday IT tasks simple, secure, and pretty damn quick
- Learn how competitors’ products differ from PDQ’s tools
- Pitch content ideas for our blog
- Craft content that reflects our brand voice: trustworthy, witty, and authentic
- Write content to support the broader marketing team
- Understand key performance metrics of content pieces and work with SEO to optimize accordingly
- Research competitors and existing content to find content and keyword gaps
We're looking for people who have:
- 3–5+ years of writing experience, preferably in a high-growth SaaS company
- Experience writing for technical audiences (IT audiences a plus)
- Familiarity with SEO (optimizing content as a writer for search engines)
- Ability to write B2B content to generate and nurture leads for sales conversations
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize concurrent projects across multiple teams
- Bachelor’s degree (or comparable experience) in marketing, communications, or related field
PDQ offers all of the great perks and benefits you'd expect from working at a very cool tech company, and even some you might not expect, including:
4-Day Work Week
Managers who champion professional development and are technically experienced (the best kind of experience)
100% Premium Coverage for medical, dental and vision for you and your dependents
