Texas Solar is seeking a Solar Designer 1 to join our growing team in January 2023! This is an entry level position and a great opportunity for the right candidate to learn Solar Design.
Our Solar Designer will:
- Screen new projects for information vital to solar design
- Interface with site surveyors to obtain/screen data necessary for solar design
- Learn to use design related applications and programs to process projects including Eagleview, Aurora, PV Watts, AutoCAD, Scanifly etc.
- Assess, learn, and design projects to meet the criteria of multiple municipal and utility jurisdictions.
- Perform shading analysis
- Perform production estimates
- Assist with the management and coordination of projects in the design phase
- Coordinate with sales teams to ensure design meets customer requirements
Job Requirements:
- Commitment to learning, understanding and facilitating the solar design process in order to make sure projects are accurately designed/built
- Very comfortable with technology and able to learn new applications and programs.
- Trustworthy and dependable
- Good time management skills
- Responsibility and accountability in an independent environment
- Excellent verbal communications skills are a must
Job Type: Full-time
Based on experience Range for 45-55K
