Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Health Information, the Date Entry Specialist enters a variety of data into specific information system programs; analyzes data for completeness; performs basic scanning and clerical support.
Responsibilities:
Job duties specific to this position:
  • Completes service tickets for all departments as directed by Director of Health Information.
  • Enters enrollment information into various software systems on a monthly basis.
  • Enters disenrollment information into various software system on an ongoing basis.
  • Reviews data change forms as they are received. Makes demographic changes as needed into any applicable software systems.
  • Scans paper home care documentation into Filebound. Ensures all necessary demographic information is located on the forms prior to scanning.
  • In conjunction with the QAPI and Home Care departments, compiles and enters on-call data per stated requirements and enters into spreadsheets for tracking and HPMS submission.
  • Other duties as assigned.

INDPRO
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or AAS required; 3+ years’ experience in medical data entry and analysis required.
  • Computer/data entry skills required including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records experience.
  • Medical terminology proficiency required.
  • Requires ability to distinguish letters/symbols.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize work.
  • Requires hand eye coordination and manual dexterity.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
