Job description
Medline Industries has an immediate opening for a Stability Lab Technician based at our Mundelein, IL location. This position will be fully onsite Monday through Friday. The Lab Tech will perform routine stability based tasks based on documented processes and protocols. In addition, this person will sample verification, initiation, sample submission, results analysis per procedural practices. The Lab Tech will also perform general laboratory housekeeping on chambers and chart recorders and provide basic support and communicate scientific results.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Verify incoming stability samples for appearance and ensure that they are all accounted.
- Sorting of stability samples and placing them into the conditioning chambers.
- Removal of samples at pre-determined intervals and submission to R&D lab groups for testing.
- Maintain laboratory chamber equipment by identifying malfunctions, communicating issues with the stability and/or calibrations team and coordination of calibration and repairs with the calibration team.
- Daily visual verification of chamber chart records by ensuring temperatures on chart recorders are within specification and changing or chart papers and/or pens as needed.
- Follow all procedures and protocols related to stability and conditioning, laboratory safety, and good laboratory practices.
- Review test data, calculations and results for accuracy and completion.
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
- At least 1 year of experience working in a general or stability laboratory.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Basic skills with Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook).
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific related field (Chemistry, Biology, Analytical, etc.).
- Experience in a regulated industry.
