Full Time Position- Edwards Mill Office: The Surgery Coordinator schedules all surgical procedures for providers through coordination with facilities and providing patient instruction accordingly, verbally and/or through written correspondence. This position is also responsible for ensuring all surgeries are properly pre-certified with the insurance companies and documented in the system. Communicates to facility and/or patient necessary information regarding the authorization or any insurance issues. Verifies patient eligibility with the insurance companies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

One year experience in medical insurance, billing or test/surgery scheduling required. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, physicians and patients; use independent judgment required in planning, prioritizing and organizing diversified workload. Excellent attention to detail. Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes. Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend medical documentation and knowledge of insurance authorization requirements. Strong verbal and written communication, and computer data entry skills.

Must be able to work in a cooperative manner and maintain effective working relationships with management/supervisors, co-workers, customers and vendors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour
