Overview:
The Recruiter is responsible driving, researching, developing, and staffing Field and Operations business units. This involves multiple process including full cycle recruiting, managing the intake, screening, scheduling, interviewing, hiring manager relationship, negotiating, onboarding and employment branding. This will be a tactical and strategic level role collaborating with human resources and business leaders through creating an evolving talent pipeline for Field and Operations units.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Work with Human Resources, Hiring Managers and Recruiting Partners on Intake Process
- Assist with job requisition / description development
- Acquire a thorough understanding of job requisition / description for required competencies, skills, knowledge required of successful applicants through successful intakes
- Partner and drive recruiting partners to ensure they are meeting APL recruiting expectations.
Identify and implement sourcing strategies based upon the job requisition by creatively conducting research and/or utilizing a multitude of resources. Identify and submit qualified candidates to hiring managers based on business needs. (i.e. Supply Chain, Finance, IT, Sales, Engineering, Logistics, and Non-Exempt roles)
- Document research methods and sourcing strategies so changes or replication or knowledge sharing is possible
- Manage referral sources
- Use a variety of technical tools to identify and attract a high qualified pool of candidates
Work with recruiting team to interview through the use of qualifying interviewing techniques. Managing recruitment process and identifying process improvement initiatives to internal stakeholders.
- Use of behavioral based Interview techniques in screening and qualifying applicants
- Create Behavioral Based Interviewing and Prescreening questions and interview guides
- Review completion of employment applications - analyze the information provided on application form
- Develop an ongoing pipeline or prospective candidates through research, networking, and community forums.
- Identify, organize, and attend career days based on recruiting needs and priority.
ATS (Applicant Tracking System) maintenance
- Enter and maintain candidate information into applicant tracking system on a daily basis
- Generate recruitment metric reports both manually and using applicant tracking system
- Create, file and maintain filing system for resumes, applications and miscellaneous paperwork
- Resume conversion and application maintenance
Manage hiring manager relationships and onboarding process.
- Provide Hiring Manager with updates and summaries of recruiting progress and activity
- Work with Human Resources and Hiring Managers to determine best fit candidates, coordinate interviews, and receive timely feedback
- Consult with hiring manger on recruitment issues to help streamline recruitment process.
- Conduct recruitment related meetings as needed
Manage Offer Negotiation process
- Work with Human Resources and Hiring Managers and make offer recommendations to close on selected candidates
- Present offers and conduct offer negotiations with candidates
- Ownership of onboarding tasks (i.e. final paperwork completion, internal processes, etc.)
Key Results:
- Owning recruitment process improvement processes and strategies
- Mapping and building strategic sourcing strategies based upon business needs
- Managing full life cycle recruitment process to meet organizations staffing goals
- Relationship building with human resources, business partners, employees and candidates
- Drive diversity initiatives through sourcing’s and partnerships.
Qualifications - External
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education
- Minimum of 8 years of full life cycle recruiting experience
- Ability to create and implement effective sourcing strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates
- Demonstrated ability of recruitment with different levels of staffing from entry to specialized/niche level positions
- Established track record of success with partnering and effective interaction different levels of personnel
- Ability to organize and follow-up multiple tasks/details with accuracy and timeliness with a significant emphasis on attention to detail
- Capability to analyze information/data, make decision and articulate / present information
- Intermediate-to-advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with various human resource information systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication, oral, and writing skills
- Must be able to self-manage daily duties and time in a fast-paced, hectic, changing environment
- Strong work ethic, sense of ownership, and ability to work with confidential information
- English as a primary language
