SUMMARY

Develops project material takeoffs and assists with drafting responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Confers with management and staff to determine training objectives.

Participates in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain useful training information and integrates information into training programs.

Works directly with contractors to educate and answer questions concerning products.

Works with contractors on project estimating, management and submittals.

Prepares, reviews, and/or revised shop drawings

Provides technical support to inside/outside sales departments.

Calculates materials and coil poundage of projects prior to manufacturing.

Makes management aware of upcoming large projects.

Follows all company safety policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree (A. A.) from two-year College or technical school; or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

SKILLSIndividual must possess a working knowledge of blueprints, AutoCAD, metric conversion, and architectural ruler. Knowledge or experience with Autodesk Inventor and Revit, not required but beneficial

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to interpret an expensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
