Job description

The technical writer will interact with employees as a means of documenting process steps in an easy to understand and visual format.

The technical write will spend 60% of their time observing manufacturing process and 40% working in an office environment documenting those observations.

While observing the processes, the technical writer will need to speak with manufacturing operators, lead persons and supervisors. This will be an important part of determining any special techniques that are critical to quality (acceptable parts, accurate completion of documents, resolving issues, etc.)

The technical writer may also be involved in developing materials for the Grand Prairie site’s onboarding program. This will be done under the guidance of the site’s onboarding project leader.

The candidate must have good English language, grammar, and computer skills with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Previous experience in a manufacturing environment will be helpful.

Knowledge of movie editing software like Video Editor, VLC, etc) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
