Position Summary
Under direct supervision, assists with productions, field and studio camera operation, editing, and videograph.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operates studio and field camera systems as a videographer in the production of content.
2. Positions and operates lighting equipment for studio and field productions and broadcasts.
3. Shades cameras during productions.
4. Operates audio equipment, sound mixers, mic placement, and interruptible foldback systems (IFB).
5. Designs, constructs, installs, and removes props and sets for studio productions.
6. Creates basic fundamental graphics for productions.
7. Performs non-linear editing of content and programs as well as the transcoding of media for all digital platforms.
8. Collaborates daily with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment.
9. Assists in planning and shooting of content to be used across digital media channels (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) as well as for broadcast.
10. Edits and assembles recorded raw material such as camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, and graphic and special effects.
11. Performs quality control on equipment, cameras, tripods, etc.
12. Conforms to safety standards, as prescribed.
13. Performs other tasks related to the position, as assigned.
Distinguishing Characteristics
Involves assisting in a variety of production and broadcasting activities relating to educational television.

Position Requirements Education, Training, and Experience
1. High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., General Education Development (GED), foreign equivalency, etc.).
2. Associates degree from an accredited college or university in video production and broadcasting or a related field; and; five (5) years experience in television; or,
Seven (7) years experience in television.
3. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10 Training (within six (6) months of hire).
Licenses and Certifications
1. A valid driver's license that allows the applicant/employee to legally operate a motor vehicle in Nevada. License must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.
2. Copy of driving history (dated within six (6) months from the date printed) issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at time of application or Qualified
Selection Pool (QSP) placement and at time of interview prior to final selection.

Work Environment/Strength
Medium/heavy - Exert force to 50-100 lbs., occasionally; 25-50 lbs., frequently; or 10-20 lbs. constantly.
Physical Demand
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, carrying, crawling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, repetitive fine motor activities, climbing, and balancing. Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment. Stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration for an extended period of time. Hearing and speech to communicate in person, via video conference and computers, or over the telephone. Vision: Frequent near and far acuity, and color vision. Vision to read printed and online materials, or other monitoring devices.
Environmental Conditions
Climate-controlled office setting. Exposure to noise levels ranging from moderate to loud and occasional to frequent time periods and frequent electrical shock hazards.
Hazards
Furniture, playground/office equipment, communicable diseases, chemicals and fumes (as related to specific assignment), and power/hand-operated equipment and machinery (as related to specific assignment). Remote locations and settings and inclement weather conditions.

District-issued/personal vehicle, various computers, television monitoring equipment, video cameras, sound equipment or other related television equipment, telephones, etc.
