Several families in the Stoneham area are looking for RBTs with weekend availability to provide ABA services for their children with Autism Spectrum Diagnoses (ASD).

The position requires that you be an Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Please ensure that the name listed on your resume matches the name under which you are listed in the BACB registry. We will only be contacting applicants for whom we are able to confirm possession of the RBT certification through the BACB registry's "Find a Certificant" feature under the name listed on your resume.

Scheduling is very flexible but at least every other Sunday is required for one family, in order to provide behavioral support to a preschooler at a community outing event scheduled for every Sunday. Work as little as 3 hours every other weekend or as long as 20 hours every weekend.

Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of ABA experience and 1 year of experience with children and/or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Candidates must have the physical strength and mobility level necessary to work with young children. This involves standing without assistance for a minimum of 30 minutes, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, ability to sit for up to 1 hour without a movement break, stamina to chase after children in the event of an elopement or bolt, quick reflexes to be able to respond to children’s sometimes-unpredictable behaviors at any given time, the ability to quickly and freely transition from sitting on the floor to standing up or running, etc. Candidates should also have experience and feel comfortable with clients who engage in mild challenging behaviors, including aggression, property destruction, and self-injurious behaviors, though occurrences are mild, given their ages/size/strength.

The hourly pay rate will be dependent upon our pre-determined objective criteria and is non-negotiable.

Mandatory trainings and any administrative work will be reimbursed for at a rate of 70% of the pre-determined hourly pay rate.

Being able to pass a 10-year background check is a mandatory requirement for this position.
