HVAC Pipefitter Mechanic

Currently, we are looking for a HVAC Pipe fitter Mechanic to join our growing team. Working at D.J. Wagner, we believe in providing an environment where our employee’s professional growth is the foundation of the organization.

Location:

• North Jersey
• Within the counties of Essex, Union, Somerset, Monmouth, Middlesex, & Ocean
• Within the 50-mile radius of New Brunswick area
• Report to our satellite shop in Wall township for in house training and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Plan pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to specifications.
• Inspect, and test installed systems using pressure, hydrostatic testing, and other methods.
• Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by brazing, soldering, threading joints or groove joints.
• Lay out of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment following blueprints and coordination drawings.
• Cut, thread, solder, or braze pipes to specificationsusing tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threads or pipe benders.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• 2 more years of previous HVAC pipe fitting experience
• Experience in mechanical construction.
• Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
• Strong communication skills with ability to coordinate work with other team members.
• Ability to work independently.
• Previous welding experience is a plus.
• Previous sheet metal installation is plus.
• In floor radiant heating, and PVC Piping experience.

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

• Mechanical Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
• reading blueprints and drawings.: 1 year (Preferred)
• HVAC Pipefitting: 1 year (Preferred)
• Sheet Metal Instalation: 1 year (Preferred)
• Radiant Heating: 1 year (Preferred)
• PVC Piping: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
