Landscape IQ is a growing custom design and landscape installation contractor In Colorado Springs, Co and the greater Pikes Peak Region.

Landscape IQ is looking for an Landscape Apprentice who is ready to start developing skills as a landscape professional. Enrolling in the Certified Landscape Technician program with NALP (National Association of Landscape Professionals) that Landscape IQ pays for at 90 days of employment. Upon completing the certificate a pre determined bonus will be awarded as well as eligibility for raises. We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking to grow in the Landscaping industry through education and practice and who has a passion for landscape design and execution of that design.

Among other duties, landscaping involves planting, sod and seed installation, constructing retaining walls, paver placement as well as other landscape construction tasks. Landscape Laborers are responsible for completing landscape installation jobs of high quality in an efficient manner.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma, Some College Preferred
• Clean background
• 2+ years landscape installation employment experience
• Ability to work outdoors during extreme heat and/or cold weather
• Able to perform manual labor as required
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds

Expectations:

• Comply with and obey all company policies/procedures and safety requirements
• Work as part of a team and take direction from both onsite and off site management.
• Install irrigation system components such as pvc pipe and sprinkler heads.
• Install trees, shrubs, sod, edging, site grading and other various landscape related duties.
• Use all tools, equipment, and machinery properly and in a safe manner to include trenchers, skid steer and other various landscaping equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times to include attending weekly safety meetings
• Notify supervisor of equipment and material needs.
• Work effectively with peers of differing background and knowledge
• Being punctual, courteous, reliable, and responsible

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the US
• Positive attitude and willingness to work hard.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.

Salary

$20 - $25 per hour
