About The Role:

ATA Freight is looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to serve as leader and dispatcher to a team of drivers.

Qualifications:

• Must have experience in trucking, logistics, or related industry.
• Must have at least 1 year working in customer service.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s Degree Preferred

Duties:

• Assign Drivers to trucks, determine driver routes, destinations, and timelines for the transporting of freight to an assigned destination
• Aid in driver training of DOT compliance and regulations as well as company rules and processes
• Procure loads from customers and aid in providing tender
• Maintains customers updated on delivery status of loads
• Tracks drivers and other necessary information electronically
• Provide support to drivers as needed
• Oversee ordering/coordinating regular maintenance of trucks with shop
• Other duties as assigned
• Remain on-call for troubleshooting driver issues, including evenings and weekends.Must have knowledge of industry regulations and ISO requirements to reduce empty miles by planning loads as efficiently as possible and understand the network and load pla.
• Load Planners must be able to analyze situations, and develop and implement action plans and adapt to constantly changing circumstances.
• Load planning requires the ability to compute distance and travel time, within the constraints of FMCSA/DOT hours of service regulations.
• Knowledge of geography is essential,
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to communicate at a high level, with professional courtesy.
• Willingness to learn the fundamentals of tacking and plotting

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• On call
• Weekend availability
