Your day.

As a Polysomnographic / Sleep Tech, you need to know how to:

• Perform and evaluate Polysomnograms-related procedures as directed by the patient's physician, recognizing sleep-induced changes(Competently perform and evaluate sleep procedures and recognize changes)
• Frequently interface polysomnograph system with positive airway pressure equipment for positive airway pressure titrations against respiratory events, oxygen desaturations, and arousals. (Respond appropriately to any needed adjustments of the equipment during testing)
• Perform analysis of polysomnographic recordings, which includes scoring sleep/wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines
• Prepare and generate detailed reports of sleep architecture, cardiac, respiratory and other physiologic events recorded through the night/day time hours
• Document all patient actions and observations and complete patient digital information panels

Your experience.

We hire people, not resumes. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:

• Current Basic Life Support Certification
• Ability to achieve the RPSGT credential and/or license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner within 18 months of employment
• Within one year must have at least one of the following: RPSGT credentialing ; Current MT Respiratory Care Practitioner license; current R.EEG.T credential OR certificate of completion from a CAAHEP-accredited Polysomnographic technology program
• Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically within a multi-functional team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
