Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new webportal interfaces for analysis of environmental data (e.g. graphs, GIS, tabular data, and more).
• Update existing user interfaces for improved usability and efficiency.
• Interface with and improve data APIs.
• Write code to manage large, complex data for front-end web applications.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Mastery of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (Bootstrap, JQuery)
• Understanding of user-centered design
• Building responsive web applications
• Strong understanding of browser and network functionality
• Consuming different types of APIs (REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, etc.)
• PHP programming

Preferred Experience:

• Angular framework and CLI, Mapbox GL JS, and D3js
• AWS Services (S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, EC2, Cognito, etc)
• Server-side languages (Java/Ruby/PHP/Node/etc)
• Relational database and non-structured persistent data stores (MySQL, NoSQL)
• Real time web services (e.g. websockets, long polling, etc.)
• Mapbox and/or OpenLayers
• GraphQL interactions
• Java programming

Additional Information:

• This is a remote opportunity that can be done from anywhere in the continental United States and/or Canada
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. or Canada without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization. F-1 visa holders with Optional Practical Training (OPT) who will require H-1B status, TNs, or current H-1B visa holders will not be considered. H1-B and green card sponsorship is not available for this position.

US Compensation Range: $80,000-$115,000 / year
