Sports Development Manager-Account Development
Job description
You will be part of the Sports Development team at Walt Disney World. You will oversee runDisney branded sponsorship driven activations with runDisney at the Walt Disney World Resort and other site branded locations when applicable. The primary role of the Sports Development Manager will focus on delivering excellent planning and client services by working with internal and external business clients/partners to obtain relevant information necessary to complete activations and host clients. You will also partner and collaborate with multiple departments within Disney sports such as Event Management, Complex Operations, Sports Finance, Marketing, and others across property to provide a safe and seamless transition throughout the runDisney event cycle to exceed Guest/Client expectations. You will focus on optimizing the runDisney accounts integration, promotions, and measurements for important sponsorship and participating affiliate accounts based on the business strategies. You will report to the Account Development Senior Manager.
You Will:
- Be a site-specific primary POC for daily issues for internal stakeholders and assigned accounts
- Manage a portfolio of account partners whose primary relationship is directly associated with runDisney
- Manage execution, measurement, and analysis of promotions and on-site activations to deliver on partner's return on investment and business objectives
- Manage all necessary site-based processes and approvals which are compiled by and communicated to important partners
- Work directly with alliance/sponsorship partners in the execution of events, promotions, and collateral development
- Maintain an understanding of runDisney, Disney Parks & Resorts strategies, initiatives, current issues, and scope of current/future operations by forging relationships with cross-functional teams
- Support runDisney specific sponsorship/alliance contract renewals, extensions and amendments by conducting appropriate due diligence and developing recommendations to maximize value to both the partner and runDisney
You Have:
- Project management skills, experience in project management, communication and adherence to timelines
- Ability to analyze and explain value and return on investment
- Ability to lead multiple teams and projects simultaneously with no direct authority
- Demonstrated abilities in prioritization
- Experience with PowerPoint, Word and Excel while also comfortable within a MAC OS environment being proficient with Keynote and the Adobe Creative suite
Some preferred:
- 3+ years of experience at Walt Disney World or at least 3+ years of demonstrated
- experience working with alliance partners in multiple capacities with marketing, promotions, sponsorship experience
- Familiar with Disney Parks Operations and Marketing
- Experience working with creative teams
- Some minimal travel
- Prolonged periods of standing during event weekends
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
