Purpose:
Coordinate and maintain plant preventative maintenance program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• This position has significant environmental aspects/impacts associated with it: Hazardous Waste.
• Lubricate, clean excess oil and grease from machinery, fill out PM schedules, change belts, pulleys, sprockets, chains, etc. Performs oil changes on all rotating machinery. Perform minor repairs, observe machinery for proper operation, and report machinery issues to Maintenance.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas. Use welders, torches, saws, drill presses, etc.
• Use measuring equipment such as rulers, calipers, etc. Work overtime as necessary.
• Must understand and accept the fact that although this is basically a 40-hour per week position, overtime, weekend work, call-ins and work on some holidays is required in order to respond to emergencies.
• Inspect hoists and cranes for safe condition and maintain records.
• Furnish tools as necessary. Work with class A Millwrights as time allows.
• Employees in this position will be required to handle hazardous wastes. Annual Resource Conservation and Recovery Act training is required.
• Employee responsibilities in this position include preparing hazardous materials/waste for transport.
• Employees in this position may be required to enter confined spaces. Confined Space Entry training is required every three years.
• Support analytical studies as needed.
• Produce products and services that meet the defined and anticipated customer expectations.
• Perform other work as assigned
• Work to acquire appropriate training.
• Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety procedures.
• Has the responsibility of understanding and carrying out assigned duties in conformance with customer and business requirements.
• Ensures that problems, errors and/or defects that surface in regard to products, documentation, procedures or materials are promptly brought to attention for correction.
• Provides support and input for continual improvement projects, preventative and corrective actions.
• Has the responsibility to halt or change a process if it is not achieving planned results.

Job Requirements:

• High School/Trade School Diploma Required with 1-3 years of experience.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis.
