Aloha Nursing Rehab Centre is a long-term care facility in Kaneohe that operates 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Join our Therapeutic Recreation team and become an active part in implementing fun and innovative activities for our residents and gain experience in making a difference in the lives of others. Responsible for providing a program of therapeutic recreation designed to enhance the residents' physical and mental capabilities, socialization skills and self-esteem in coordination with and as directed by the Activities Manager. Such programs are designed to meet the interests and physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident and may take place in a group or individual setting. Offers positive encouragement for resident participation in recreation programs and special events while offering evaluation and suggestions of improvements or changes. This is a union position.

Weekly Schedule: Full-time 40 hours per week - Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8:00 - 4:30 pm (off Sundays & Mondays)

Must Have:

• CPR/BLS certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Enthusiastic and energetic personality
• Organizational and problem-solving skills
• Compassion and a want to work with the elderly
• Ability to self-manage, and willingness to take initiative
• Excellent communication & documentation skills
• Experience a plus, but training available
• CNA Certification preferred

Must meet the basic health requirements including 2 step TB skin test or chest x-ray.

Pay: $13.29 - $14.19 per hour
