Job description
The Driver/Merchandiser will be responsible for the delivery and pickup of Rug Doctor machines and products to and from designated delivery locations. The position will also be responsible for cleaning machines, equipment and display in established retail locations.
Essential Functions:
- Make accurate delivery and pickups in an expedited manner to specific delivery and pickup locations.
- Use hand held device for routing information, customer delivery/pickup information.
- Serve customers by understanding and following instructions, displaying a professional, energetic and courteous attitude.
- Navigate a variety of routes through delivery area.
- Maintain a neat and professional appearance.
- Maintain communication with dispatch and operations as required.
- While operating your vehicle, ensure safe performance, proper maintenance, and clean appearance.
- Installing displays in new customer accounts, removing or resetting existing fixtures.
- Managing the inventory and general organization of satellite warehouse facilities.
- Assisting in the workshop with maintenance of rental equipment.
- Traveling to existing customer accounts (primarily supermarket & home improvement/ hardware stores) to provide service.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Driver must have a good driving record, licensed for at least 2 years, insurance and a reliable vehicle.
- Must be comfortable driving and working in varying weather conditions.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Forklift certified a plus.
Physical Demands
- Physically capable of lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
