NDT Certified Operator/UT Operator - Corpus Christi, TX

Ultrasonic Testing Operator is responsible for set up, calibrate and performing test and training NDT level I or trainee.

Responsibilities:

• UT Operator shall perform set up, calibration & testing as per approved procedure
• Fabricate calibration joint/ sample as per requirement
• Preparation of testing report
• Trouble shooting of issues in NDT equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on NDT equipment
• Perform duties assigned in other than NDT area as given by NDT Lead or Management.
• Shall be responsible to set up & Operate seam annealer equipment

Requirements and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent related experience
• NDT level II in Ultrasonic testing shear wave method
• Willing to learn NDT processes
• Able to work with team
• Knowledge of computer operating system – MS Word & Excel
• Able to pass vision acuity test – capable to read J2 number at 12 distance and no color control deficiency
• Capable to lift at least 50 lbs weight
• Able to work in rotating shift

Reports to: Mill Supervisor
