Position Description
The Recruitment Specialist will oversee the overall recruitment, selection and hiring for the organization ensuring the company is acquiring and retaining top talent while constantly growing and developing an outstanding talent pipeline that meets and reflects the growth and changing needs of the organization. They will be responsible for the research, development, and implementation of effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. They will be responsible for the full life cycle recruiting process from sourcing to onboarding and will be a key piece of the business development team by supporting the proposal process.

Position Description
The Recruitment Specialist will oversee the overall recruitment, selection and hiring for the organization ensuring the company is acquiring and retaining top talent while constantly growing and developing an outstanding talent pipeline that meets and reflects the growth and changing needs of the organization. They will be responsible for the research, development, and implementation of effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization. They will be responsible for the full life cycle recruiting process from sourcing to onboarding and will be a key piece of the business development team by supporting the proposal process.
Responsibilities
- Full life cycle recruitment including sourcing, screening, evaluating applicants and coordinating interviews
- Facilitate the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization
- Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
- Oversees the implementation and management of an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to increase efficiencies in the hiring and onboarding process
- Train new and existing hiring managers in utilization of ATS and develop training tools for self-sufficiency in managing applicant flow
- Utilize workforce metrics to drive continuous quality improvement in the recruitment and hiring processes to increase efficiencies and timeliness in recruiting for and filling vacancies
- Participate, engage and directly recruit at career fairs, hiring events, and workshops
- Establishes partnerships with schools, universities, military installations and other organizations to identify top talent and maintain recruitment pipeline for current and anticipated job opportunities
- Assist with developing a robust and comprehensive onboarding and orientation process and oversee all aspects of the new hire’s introduction and acclimation to LTE
- Oversees the Employee Recognition Program, researching and introducing innovative ideas to increase employee satisfaction and retention
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including OFCCP and company policies
- Support the business development team by conducting compensation research and providing expert level advice for creating winning proposals
- Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
- Perform reference checks as need
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education/Experience
Qualified Applicants will have the following experience supporting Public Sector/ DOD/ Government Sector:
- Strong relationship management skills for internal customers and candidates (business / hiring managers / HR / Staffing stakeholders) and external (candidates, vendors etc.)
- Prior experience recruiting for Cleared/Clearable candidates.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Expert in interviewing and selection skills and techniques.
- Strong team-working skills, partners and collaborates effectively with all stakeholders though the recruitment process.
- Results and performance driven – able to work to meet deadlines and manage priorities.
- Operational excellence in recruiting processes and systems.
- Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of regulatory environment i.e. immigration/discrimination, recruitment policy knowledge, employment legislation.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Subject matter expertise in one or more of the businesses in which Peraton competes for talent.
- Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD or at least 9 years experience without a degree.
Certifications
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
- SHRM's Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus

Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Requirements
Travel is anticipated to be less than 10% within the Continental United States.
