Zeochem is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer for our Chemicals and Energy business unit. If you have experience in the following, this job may be a fit for you!

  • Desire to travel onsite to refinery, petrochemical and/or natural gas plants to offer support

SUMMARY
This position has responsibility for providing sales, technical, and administrative support for his/her assigned customers/distributors, products and markets. Responsibilities include providing support to the Technical Service and Business Managers in developing process and market data, managing product documentation and providing technical and commercial support to customers. Technical support to assigned customers and agents can include customer complaint resolution, loading/troubleshooting support, recommendation of product grades and design proposals utilizing Zeochem proprietary design technology.

PRIMARY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Sales support to distributors and end customers in assigned product lines and markets
  • Technical support to assigned customers/product lines

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Calls on company customers or potential customers such as process engineers, plant operators, purchasing and management at refinery, petrochemical and natural gas units and/or main offices including engineering firms and distributors to meet sales budgets, goals and objectives
  • Provides technical services to distributors and end customers relating to use and operation of molecular sieves
  • Assists customers with technical questions, troubleshooting, and related issues
  • Assists customers with onsite technical and/or commercial support
  • Keeps account/customer files up to date in Salesforce.com
  • Reviews sales budgets and establishes and implements plans to achieve sales in area of responsibility
  • Reviews requests for quotes and makes proposals outlining Zeochem's product and service benefits
  • Provides technical training as needed to internal and external customers
  • Travel will consist of approximately 60% to 70% of working time.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry. Other degree disciplines may be considered if exceptional experience, success, or potential can be demonstrated
  • Minimum 7 years experience in sales or use of adsorbents to/in the chemical processing industry
  • Strong PC skills including spreadsheet, word processing, and database
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to apply engineering, chemistry and mathematical concepts, tools, and solutions for process system design, troubleshooting, and problem solving
  • Ability to use, troubleshoot, and maintain in house instrumentation used for plant testing
  • Ability to interpret laboratory and plant data, analyze, corelate, and report the data
  • Ability to travel approximately 60% of working time

This position is located in Louisville, KY but Zeochem may consider qualified candidates in the Houston, TX area.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $84,203.00 - $129,712.39 per year
