Pieper Memorial Veterinary Center is a thriving specialty and emergency practice established in 2010, with specialties including Critical Care, Neurology, and Surgery.

Our Technicians must be skilled and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality of care or safety. This position gives you the opportunity to perform all the skills you learn as a technician, as well as new and advanced skills. Technicians at Pieper can expect to grow with the hospital. We are seeking experienced veterinary technicians to join the wonderful team at our Madison Urgent Care location; CVT, LVT, or RVT certified technicians are strongly preferred.

Pay: $20 - $35 / hour depending on level of experience, education and certification/licensing. Will consider full & part-time candidates.

This position does require availability for weekends .

A significant portion of this role revolves around:

• Monitoring vitals
• Medicating
• Providing care to any hospitalized patient ranging from basic to intensive
• Maintaining communication with your team.

The must-have skills:

• Venipuncture
• IV Catheter placement
• Full proficiency in anesthesia monitoring from induction to recovery
• Basic medical math

This position is ideal for someone who wants to expand beyond GP but is not necessarily looking for ER-level intensity. This is a high-volume facility and something new is always coming in the door.
